What About Truck Bed Mats With Sides

Truck bed mats of rubber equal or beat any other bed cover when it comes to preventing dents. Drop in plastic bed liners also excel at dent stopping but other liners fall short when it comes to dents. Remember though that with typical bed mats you get no cover anywhere except at the floor of the box.

That's why truck bed mats over other bed liners, like spray on bed liners, works so well. You get the spray coating protection everywhere and extra protection on the floor where it's most needed by a cheap mat.

Here's something to think about if you're looking at mats.

DualLiner bed liners actually include a tough rubber bed mat as part of their bed liners. This may not be quite clear if you look at their ads.

What you get with a DualLiner is actually 5 separate pieces that all together make up the liner.

Three molded plastic parts make up the sides and the front of the bed. The three custom-fit parts just snap in place and then snap together at the front corners to hold those parts together. Then a separate part is the plastic tailgate cover. It bolts on using existing fasteners and then snaps to the tailgate with snaps in holes that you drill in the metal. It does come with rust-preventative coating.

Finally, you just roll in a big thick rubber mat that fits in place to match the other parts. That makes for a tough rubber bed mat completed by custom molded plastic covers over all the remainder of the bed.

All that for much less than most other types of bed liners.
